Marcolini's Estate

OUR HISTORY 

Origins of Marcolini’s Estate born in 1880 when Angelo Marcolini acquires some lands in Valbona locality, an area located between Fano and Pesaro close to the Adriatic Sea. These hilly lands have a South exposition, enclosed by hedges of elms and tamarisks, near Arzilla creek. First crops cultivated were: soft wheat, sugar beet and vineyards. 

Nowadays Marcolini’s Estate has an extension of 225 acres, still managed with passion and respect, maintaining generational transition.     

CROPS

During the years old crops have been kept and added some new. Fields are now divided in:

  • Sunflowers
  • Protein beans
  • Whole wheat
  • Soft wheat
  • Vineyards: 16 acres with 4 varieties of red grapes (Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot) and 3 varieties of white grapes (Biancame, Malvasia, Fiano)
  • Olive grove: 1200 olives trees, main varieties: Leccino, Raggiola and Frantoio
  • Educational Olive-Grove: with 50 types of olive trees from different part of Italy, especially from Le Marche’s region
  • Dedicated area for horses, with boxes, paddocks and a riding school

Our Philosophy

 

Our productive philosophy originates from farmer know-how and from nature seasonal cycles respect. Being the universe a steady stream of change, where everything occurs spontaneously, we think that the best way to act is “not acting”, leaving the land to its proper mechanism of self-adjustment that can be arise only if violence is not impose.

We are now arrived at the fifth generation to grow these lands, communicate and pass on our devotion, it is for us a duty to respect the land and the nature itself. Marcolini is our family name, but it is also the brand of our products, with them we offer our quality, passion and tradition, respecting old knowledge, but always with a look towards the future. We consider our products a nature’s gift, grown with love and devotion of our hands.

All our products are focused on Made in Italy promotion with a special attention of local products valorisation, in order to establish oil, wine, flour and pasta’s value of our Region.
